PIC provides speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy,
to children and adults with varying degrees of impairment or disability.
These services are provided in adult day programs, centers for children,
private schools, in homes, and in the community.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of PIC is to maximize independent functioning in daily living activities through the provision of skilled and functional therapy services as well as through the provision of quality support services for persons with special needs. At the same time, we desire to build and increase friendships, socialization opportunities, decision and choice-making, and the variety of educational and enjoyable experiences of our clients, thus increasing their quality of life. In doing so, we will promote their empowerment, dignity, and self-worth. Ultimately, we strive to increase the functioning of our clients and caregivers through functional training, natural support networks, and communication.
VISIONS:
PIC will be a leader for provision of therapy services, therapy staffing services, and recipient-based support services for persons with disabilities or acquired head injuries.
PIC will provide staffing and employment atmospheres that are conducive to quality recruitment and retention.
PIC will provide client services that are functional and based on outcomes directed toward increased independence.
With high quality supports and functional training, clients will be able to perform daily living activities with increased independence, ultimately decreasing future costs of supportive services.
